Well, we’re all seeing overalls spottings while we’re out and about, and it has us thinking…”Hmm…Wait, I really want some!” I know I’ve had my eye on them for awhile now and finally pulled the trigger. At first, I was a little hesitant to throw them on and be seen in public because they’re considered so casual. BUT, wait one second before you list all of the lame excuses why you won’t wear them! Every time I’ve worn these things, I’ve received so many compliments from complete strangers. And, whenever I post a photo in them on Snapchat (@daniseotis) or an Instagram story (@bowsandboots_), I’ve received countless messages from women and men.
Don’t be afraid or reluctant to wear something in public just because you’re worried what people are going to think! I know when I’m wearing these overalls, I feel happy, peppy, and full of life. Why would I NOT wear these?! We should all be wearing clothes that empower us and make us feel strong. Why do we purposely try blending in sometimes? You can dress like yourself, while not drawing too much extra attention to your ensemble. Be proud to be you. Show your artistic side. And, don’t let random people make your “happy outfit” not feel special. It is special, and so are YOU!
I knew I wanted a “good” pair of overalls. Every store has them, so don’t fret if you don’t like the price of the Free People pair that I’m rocking and rolling in. Personally, I love the various fades and washes this particular pair comes in, so I couldn’t grab just one pair. You’ll probably see a post of me wearing my white pair and black pair eventually, as well!
Can we also talk about this bag? This Madewell bag is a classic. I recommend it to all of my clients, not only because it’s a closet essential, but because of its versatility. Some of them are reversible, but you can also take it anywhere. I’ve used mine as a beach bag, a bag for the farmer’s market, and even a gym bag when I’m heading to Pilates or Barre class! ALSO–this bag is MONOGRAMMABLE! Yes…I just made that word up. Who doesn’t love monogramming their favorite pieces to make them their own?
“Life has taught me that you can’t control someone’s loyalty. No matter how good you are to them, doesn’t mean they’ll treat you the same. No matter how much they mean to you, doesn’t mean they’ll value you the same. Sometimes the people you love the most, turn out to be the people you can trust the least.”
