Welcome to Bows & Boots! I thought I would start off this blog with a post that describes me without having to describe myself, word for word.
So, picture Zoe Hart from Hart of Dixie (best show ever–its on Netflix). A born-and-raised New Yorker who had to move to Blue Bell, Alabama. She’s living in an extremely small town with a big city mentality. Confused about where she belongs, she ends up choosing the small town, but still continues her big city ways through her fashion. That’s me. Except, I didn’t move to a small city from a big one…I was raised in a small one, where my grandparents went to high school with my friends’ grandparents.
I’m a small town girl with a big city wardrobe. And, I tend to find myself wearing things that don’t necessarily belong in the environment. As a twenty-something-year-old, I still find myself with heart eyes (like the emoji) whenever I come across tulle skirts, or “tutus” as I like to refer to them. I simply paired this extremely feminine piece with an edgy cut-out crop top and accessorized by adding some major statement ballet flats.
Let’s be real–there’s nothing more fun than twirling around in bushes in a poofy skirt.
